Who’ll be a Spinner?

In the same interview quoted below, Mcleod says that he expects fourth-round pick Jon Still to "probably be the number one catcher in Lowell this summer."

Still was primarily a first-baseman last year at North Carolina State because another catcher was ahead of him in the depth chart.

Still didn’t play first for State – 3rd round pick Aaron Bates did. Still was the regular DH and backup catcher.

McLeod’s full quote on Jon Still:

He’s another guy we liked a lot on the Cape. He transferred from Stetson to North Carolina State last year, but they had another guy behind the plate and Jon didn’t end up catching much — only about 10 or 15 games. We like him at the position, though, and he’ll probably be the number one catcher in Lowell this summer. He has gap power and controls the strike zone very well.
