If you have been following the World Baseball Classic online a pitcher for the Netherlands may have seemed familiar in their shocking upset of the Dominican Republic team. Pitcher Dennis Neuman (2008 Lowell Spinners) was on the mound for the eighth inning, protecting a tenous lead against the mighty Dominican line-up. Neuman responded with the guile of a long-time major league veteran, pitching himself out of a jam, including a strike-out of All-Star outfielder Jose Guillen. Neuman is no stranger to the big stage, winning televised games in the Little League World Series and again in 2008, picking up the win with a scoreless inning of relief in the Spinners extra-innings walk-off win at the Futures at Fenway.
Just 19-years-old, the future is very bright for Dennis Neuman!
