Former Spinner Aaron Bates had a day he will never forget yesterday as he went 3-4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI in the Red Sox 6-0 victory over Kansas City. Bates was called up to Boston on July 6th and after going 1-7, he is now hitting .364 since his arrival. Bates has also provided solid defense as evidenced by his grab of a liner off the bat of Brayan Pena in the 6th inning of yesterday’s game. Bates has stated that he is confident he can play at the major league level and that his stumbles in AAA Pawtucket are nothing but an adjustment. Read more about Bates here.
